WHSQ Manager

With more than 35 years in the resources sector, Mark brings serious depth to our safety leadership. He began his career in 1990 as an Apprentice Fitter-Turner, working on fixed processing plants. He later transitioned into underground mining as a truck operator in 1994, and by 2000, advanced to the role of Jumbo Operator. In 2006, he transitioned into Work Health and Safety leadership roles.

Since then, he’s led safety and training teams across Tier One sites and major contracting environments. His industry experience spans a wide range of commodities, including iron ore, gold, nickel, lead-zinc, lithium, coal, rare earths, and diamonds, across open cut and underground operations. Mark’s background includes civil infrastructure, OFSC government contracts, fixed and mobile plant maintenance, and process plant construction (EPC/EPCM).

He’s a proactive safety leader who encourages a culture of shared responsibility and mutual accountability.

Fabrication Workshop Manager

Daniel Carr has been a vital part of the business since 2020, bringing more than 25 years of expertise in metal fabrication and 15 years of experience in the mining industry.

A qualified boilermaker, he oversees the fabrication workshop operations, ensuring high-quality fabrication and maintenance solutions that meet the demands of underground mining projects. Dan’s leadership, technical expertise and focus on safety and efficiency make him a key part of our team in delivering reliable solutions to our clients.

Mobile Plant Manager

Tom Hampton has been with MMS for three years, bringing a strong background in fleet maintenance from his time with a major transport company. He holds a Certificate III in Heavy Duty Road Transport and has more than 15 years of experience in the road transport industry as a mechanic, along with three years in mining as a fitter/maintenance manager.

Tom specialises in diagnosing electrical faults and managing equipment breakdowns, with a practical, problem-solving approach that keeps operations running smoothly. He enjoys the variety his role offers, tackling different challenges across equipment and responsibilities, and thrives in a dynamic work environment.
